About ColumbiaX

ColumbiaX is the hub for accessing massive open online courses (MOOCs) and other online learning experiences from Columbia University.  ColumbiaX is overseen by the Office of the Vice Provost for Teaching, Learning, and Innovation.

“Columbia schools and faculty have developed pioneering programs and initiatives in the field of online learning over many years. These activities have now matured to the point where each of them, and the University as a whole, would benefit from a higher level of institutional focus and coordination.

Through our online initiative, we aim to share knowledge and deploy new tools and technologies in interactive and distance learning to ensure the richest and most dynamic educational environment possible for Columbia’s students, as well as learners outside the University.”
